Coby Appeal

Please join us in supporting the efforts of ETE, a non-profit organized to bring Classic 3-Day Eventing to the Georgia International Horse Park.

Coby Appeal, fondly known as Coby, joined us early April from the Mountaineer track in West Virginia. His former trainer/owner decided Coby had paid his dues

after racing for 8 years and earning nearly $245,000 on the track. Upon arrival at our farm, Coby has been turned out enjoying his transition to life as a non-racehorse. He has taken quite a liking to his turnout time.

From what we have been able to see while he's frolicking in the pasture Coby will be able to fit into either the Dressage, Eventing or Jumper rings. Standing 17.1 hh he is a large horse. Coby has a large bone structure to accompany his height which explains how he was able to race for so long and come off the racetrack sound. It's no secret the we have a tendency to buy more bays than chestnuts, but this is one chestnut we are seriously considering keeping for ourselves. The potential Coby shows to be very successful in any arena makes him a fun project to work on.

He is built, uphill, but in the photos we've recently taken, he's standing downhill. So, it's a little deceiving...he also just had a bath in this photo.

With each week, he becomes sweeter and more laid back. Come out and meet him, he'll make a great project and partner.
